Ashot Blog

Welcome to my blog!

I’m Ashot Mkrtchyan, a ceramic artist from Yerevan, Armenia. My journey with clay began in childhood, learning from my father, the renowned potter Tatul Mkrtchyan. For over 17 years, I’ve been crafting each piece by hand, embracing the traditional methods he passed down to me.

Together with my wife, Nana, we run our online store, PotterAsh.com, where we showcase our handmade ceramic creations. Our collection includes pomegranate-shaped sugar bowls, wedding favors, ceramic cups, and unique aquarium decorations. Nana, whom I taught the basics of clay work, now brings her own creativity to our pieces, especially in designing aquarium decors.

This blog is a space where I’ll share insights into our creative process, stories behind our designs, and updates on new projects. In upcoming posts, look forward to customer reviews, wedding inspiration ideas, and more.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope our handcrafted ceramics bring a touch of Armenian artistry into your life.

Warm regards,
Ashot Mkrtchyan (PotterAsh)
